Conviction: the Secret to Doing Anything

Conviction

I have a secret I'd like to share with you.

No, it's not one of those "secrets" where you'll have to buy something or click a link.

Nope.

It's a secret that's actually inside of you. It's the thing that lets you do basically whatever you want...

...that allows you to break through glass ceilings, shatter preconceived beliefs about who you are, and become, well, more.

What is it?

Conviction.

It's my new favorite word.

In the last two or three days alone I've heard it about four times. When I hear something repeated from separate sources, I pay attention.

What is conviction?

It's the feeling, deep within you, that you can do anything.

It's the feeling that allows you to step forward even when you're terrified of taking that next step.

It's the sensation, the crackling surge of power from deep within your body, that you can do anything you want to. I believe this... and your conviction will never let you down.

Even if you doubt yourself from time to time.

Even if you don't know what to do.

Even if it feels like you're lost.

Take a moment to breathe, feel that greater power within you.

And take the step.

Here's the "secret":

When you take any step forward in your life, professionally or personally, where you *feel* like you're stepping off the cliff alone...

...you never are.

It only feels like you're alone.

Trust me, you're not.

There's a saying that goes, "You cannot do it alone, but you have to do it by yourself."

You are not separate from this Universe. It's a simple fact of life. You are life. You are connected.

But somehow, for some reason, when you're faced with a massive choice, you still must choose to make that leap by yourself.

When you do, however, (and I'm saying this to myself as much to you) life will always rise up to meet you.

It's just one of those "Metaphysical Laws of the Universe."

It (the Universe) abhors spaces.

When you make a choice, when you take a leap, you create a space.

So make some space. Make some waves.

That's all.
